Yes, biorefining allows us to give value to that unused biomass and transform it into an enzyme that can be used in various industrial processes. Of course the biomass goes through a strict quality control, ensuring an enzyme with high enzymatic activity.
In many cases the pineapple biomass is burned by combustion or by the use of chemicals and on both occasions they are released gases that contribute to accelerating the greenhouse effect. With our technology we use 100% of the wasted material.
